Climate Change

Climate change has become a hot topic in the last decade mostly because there are people who believe in it and others who vehemently deny it. Although each one of us is entitled to our opinion, one thing is for certain: our planet is changing along with its climate and it’s happening at a rather alarmingly fast pace.  Accusatory fingers have been pointed to a lot of things but it all comes down to this: human activity is the biggest reason why the climate of our planet is changing.

The biggest causes are of course the huge emanation of carbon dioxide and other types of pollution, which since the early 1900’s have grown from almost zero to a level which raises a lot worries. This of course has a very negative impact not on just animals but on humans as well.

Climate change is a very natural thing and it has been happening for a very long time. The problem is that we, humans, have accelerated it and the effects haven’t failed to show themselves. Sadly, there’s no going back as it’s an irreparable damage.

Here are a few causes for climate change:

One of the biggest causes has to do with the Sun, the earth’s most powerful source of energy and heat, and due to solar variation, the effects of global warming are being felt more and more all over the planet. Another cause is the Earth and the way it moves around the aforementioned Sun.

These of course, are all natural activities that have existed way before humans inhabited the planet. But nowadays the status quo has changed and the primary problem and cause for climate change is us, humans and our activities. The vast industrialization that has occurred over the last 2 centuries and the major catastrophes that were related to this have seriously damaged our ecosystem.
